Daily Schedule

We believe children thrive in a structured environment with a regular routine. Each classroom operates on a set daily schedule that is appropriate to their overall needs. Throughout the week, you can expect your child to participate in activities to develop reading, math, physical education, art, music, foreign language, and Bible skills.

Example Classroom Schedule (Varies per class):

Center Time:

8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

As children arrive for the schooldays, they are greeted with a calm, nurturing, and structured time of centers. This time includes a variety of developmentally appropriate activities that encourage learning in all areas of development, as well as a teacher facilitated activity.

Morning Circle:

9:00 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.

Morning circle is a time to greet everyone as we start our day. Activities during the morning circle include children’s jobs, Bible memory verse, pledge of allegiance, calendar, weather, introduction of new letters and numbers of the week, and an introduction of the day’s activities.

Learning Zone:

9:15 a.m. – 9:40 a.m.

Learning Zone is an opportunity for the whole class to get together to engage in our core subjects. Activities at this meeting include reading/writing, language skills, math, science skills, show and tell, class discussions and group games. Most importantly this is a time for children to share information with others, practice listening and waiting skills, and participate in a large group.

JAM:

9:40 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

(JAM: Jesus and Me) Our students participate in a high-energy Bible lesson, time of song/dance, memory verse application, and activity to reinforce biblical truth.

Story Time:

10:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.

Our teachers spend time engaging in storytime with their students, introducing a love for literature and helping to reinforce the week’s themes through reading.

Snack Time:

10:15 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Children begin snack with hand washing and participate in clean-up. Dietary/allergy requests and accommodations are always honored per classroom.

Arts & Crafts:

10:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.

Our teachers present creative projects for our students to help bring together the curriculum content, tie in the story themes, or engage in core values.

Outdoor Play:

10:45 a.m. – 11:10 a.m.

Our students love to spend time in our secure and covered playground space! Children can develop in physical, social, and imaginative skills as they explore the outdoors together.

Lunch:

11:10 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.

Children gather around for lunchtime with parent-provided meals.

Rest Time:

11:30 p.m. – 12:30 p.m.

After a fun-filled morning, our students take valuable time to rest and (hopefully!) nap before getting back to their afternoon activities.

WHAM:

12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

(WHAM: Wellness, Health, and Me) Children participate in active, structured play in our indoor gym as they develop social team skills and learn how to best maintain positive health and wellness.
