Welcome to the Pebbles Blog!

November 03, 2015

I have to admit that when I was asked to do this blog for Pebbles, I was not quite sure what all was involved. So, I did what any uninformed potential blogger would do, I googled blogs, bloggers, blogging…you get the picture. To sum up the myriad descriptions of blogging, I present to you an extremely condensed definition of a blog: “a regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informed or conversational style.” So friends, welcome to an informational, conversational blog focused on the happenings of the Pebbles Preschool family!

September found Pebbles knee-deep in our annual Butterbraids Fundraiser. As always, the wonderful Pebbles parents, children, and staff sold this delicious pastry to family and friends and raised a grand total of $2636.00 to be used towards the purchase of new playhouses and improvements for the playground! Each year, awards are given for those who sell the most Butterbraids. Congratulations to our top salesmen for 2015: Amy Carr and Riley Hall, winners of Target gift cards! This year, we opened up the “competition” to the Pebbles staff and would like to congratulate Tabitha Roach, our top staff Butterbraids salesman!

If you missed out on this year’s Costume Parade, you missed out on the most adorable trick-or-treaters in the world! We had so much fun as the Pebbles kids paraded around the auditorium collecting all kinds of goodies, having their pictures made, and sneaking a bite of candy (when teachers and parents were not looking)!

Now here we are in November and gearing up for the annual Thanksgiving Feast which happens to coincide with our Fall Book Fair! I will post more information about these events in the next few days, however, I need to remind you that Pebbles will be closed Monday, November 9 for a Student Holiday (in keeping with the Keller ISD schedule).

I have now encountered a serious problem…I don’t know how to end this thing! So, I shall simply say: Until next time…Bye Ya’ll!
